Impatiently she waits,
for the blow that awaits

The end of this dream,
though frivolous it does seem

His kisses were like no other,
she keenly understood his power

That he lived for today, she knew,
while in his arms she lay

As she let all will disappear,
she feared the end was near
You lifted me up
but let me fall

You held my hand
yet dealt the worst blow

Like it was nothing at all
a part of the daily flow

You try to restore my smile
with false commiseration

I entreat you foolishly
while you show no compunction

You give me miserable joy
through every single guile

But unbeknown to me
my spirit is yours to defile
